How to Apply

1. Submit an online application to SOPHAS at www.sophas.org
2. Submit an online application to UCLA at www.gdnet.ucla.edu
3. Submit appropriate materials to UCLA - Fielding School of Public Health (refer to the checklist)

Requirements

MPH

- GRE required
- Bachelor’s Degree from 4-yr University/Equivalent
- 3 Letters of Recommendation (2 Professors, 1 Employer accepted)
- Minimum 3.0 GPA from 4-yr University/Equivalent
- One Set of Official Transcripts from each institution you have attended
- Adequate preparation in mathematics, physical sciences, biological sciences, and social sciences
- Joint M.P.H. /M.B.A. must take GMAT
- Field experience preferable
- Resume/CV
- Statement of Purpose
- HSO (1-yr): MCAT scores accepted for MD Applicants
- MPH/MD (MCAT accepted), MPH/JD (LSAT accepted), MPH/MPP - Follow same requirements as the MPH program

MS & PhD

- MS-1yr: MCAT scores accepted for MD Applicants
- PhD: minimum 3.5 in Graduate Studies recommended
- PhD: GRE required

- 3 Letters of Recommendation (2 Professors, 1 Employer accepted)
- Resume/CV
- Statement of Purpose
- Writing sample (Minimum of 15-20 pages)

International Students

Admissions Deadline

- Applications are usually available mid-September. We encourage you to apply early.
- Deadline for Fall 2014 Admission: December 1, 2013.  

Applications received after the December 1st deadline may be considered, but will have reduced opportunities for admission, financial support, and housing.
