Meet the Staff

Allison Kamerman, M.S., MSO

Allison comes to us after eight years with the UCLA Center for Public Health and Disasters as the Assistant Director for Administration. She worked at the Anderson School of Management for a year and a half after spending ten years in Washington D.C. working first as a Manager in corporate fitness and more recently as the Program Manager in the Publications Directorate for an Earth sciences association. She earned an M.S. in Applied Behavioral Science from The Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Physical Education with a minor in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University, SLO. When not at work, Allison spends time with her family and raising her two 4-year old toddlers.

Shirley Rayner, Finance Manager

Shirley started with UCLA in the Student Financial Services Department, in the Main Cashier's Office, and then moved to the Psychology Department Business Office, where she was a fund manager for 2.5 years. When not working at UCLA, she and her husband run a small dry cleaning delivery business, she dabbles as a cake decorator, and she is a Muay Thai (Thai Kickboxing) enthusiast and instructor.

Yayoi Roth, Assistant to the Chair

Yayoi is an alumna of Santa Monica College and UCLA Department of World Arts and Cultures. She worked at the J. Paul Getty Trust as an internship coordinator, research assistant, and events coordinator. She returned to UCLA to assist her former Department Chair at the Center for Intercultural Performance and coordinate fellowship programs and public events. Since then she has worked in development, administration and private charitable philanthropic management. Yayoi volunteered and served on the Board of Directors for Venice Arts, a community youth arts organization. Born in Okinawa and raised mostly in Los Angeles, she speaks Japanese and has an interest in senior care.

Jessica Shim, M.Ed, M.A., SAO

Jessica graduated from UC Irvine with a B.A. in Psychology and Social Behavior, and a B.A. in Ethnic Studies. She also earned an M.Ed as well as an M.A. in Organization and Leadership in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Columbia University. Jessica is passionate about working in student affairs and helping students to achieve their academic and personal goals. She is committed to developing strong relationships with her students, as well as improving processes that strengthen student success.

Anna Park, Administrative Specialist

Anna graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Physiological Sciences and has been part of Health Services Department for 6 years now. She was a work study student, here in the department, before she started working full time as an administrator. When she’s not working, she’s spending most of her time cuddling and cleaning up after her mischievous, yet irresistibly adorable American Eskimo named Skimo.
